The Cyclopes - Light Bearing IWB Holster

Product Description

**THIS IS A CUSTOM PRODUCT and is subject to an estimated lead time of approximately 20-30 days. Please note that our estimated lead time is an ESTIMATE, and may not always be exact. If a delay is present for custom orders placed during specific time periods, a notice will be posted on the homepage of our website - www.alphaconceal.com.**

In Greek mythology, Cyclopes (plural) were a primordial race of giants, each having a single eye in the middle of its forehead. The literal translation of Cyclopes is “round-eyed” or “circle-eyed.”

The Cyclopes is our Light-Bearing Inside the Waistband (IWB) holster, and is so named because of the appearance of the light when holstered – it resembles a singular, circular eye.

  • The Cyclopes is designed to be worn in any position inside the waistband – the holster clips onto your belt and is worn inside your pants.
  • This holster is ideal for carrying concealed with a weapon-mounted light or laser. It will not function without a light/laser attachment (read more below).

About This Holster

The Cyclopes is molded to fit a specific handgun model with a particular weapon-mounted light, such as a TLR-1 or Inforce APL; your handgun and light will only fit in the holster that is designed specifically for it. Furthermore, this holster will not function properly without a light or laser attached. If you are not running a weapon-mounted light or laser on your gun, you'll need to order a non light-bearing holster such as The Apollo, The Prometheus, The Phoenix or The Minotaur.

The Cyclopes comes with your choice of belt hardware: The Standard Clip in 1.5” or 1.75", The Appendix Clip in 1.5" or 1.75", or soft loops – urethane-coated polyester with a pull-the-dot snaps – to fasten the holster to your belt. The soft loops firmly secure the holster to your belt, ensuring the holster can only be removed by releasing the snaps. Both styles of clips merely hook onto your belt. Most belts will fit through either style of 1.5-inch clip or the soft loops.

If you're not sure which style of belt hardware suits you best, give us a call before placing your order and we'll help you decide. This holster is molded in a specific manner to accommodate the belt hardware you select.

More details about the Appendix Clip

  • Clip is optimized for appendix carry, but can be worn in any carry position IWB
  • There is only 1 option for the cant of the clip -- 0 degrees
  • The clip allows for adjustable ride height
  • The clip is tuckable -- You can easily tuck your shirt in between the holster and the clip, ensuring only the clip is visible
  • The clip has a bit more "give" to it, and can be removed much quicker than the Standard Clip

More details about the Standard Clip

  • The clip allows for any type of carry IWB, but we recommend a 0 degree cant if you plan to carry in the appendix position, and a 15 degree cant if you plan to carry in the 3-4 o'clock position
  • There are 3 options for the cant of the clip -- 0 degrees, 15 degrees or 30
  • The clip is extremely sturdy and grabs onto your belt tightly
  • The clip does not allow for adjustable ride height

More Details About The Soft Loops

  • The soft loops allow for any type of carry IWB, but we recommend a 0 degree cant if you plan to carry in the appendix position, and a 15 degree cant if you plan to carry in the 3-4 o'clock position
  • There are 3 options for the cant of the soft loops -- 0 degrees, 15 degrees or 30
  • The soft loops are made of a urethane-coated polyester, and feature pull-the-dot snaps. The soft loops firmly secure the holster to your belt, ensuring the holster can only be removed by releasing the snaps.
  • The soft loops do not allow for adjustable ride height
  • The soft loops do not allow the user to tuck their shirt in
  • The soft loops are adjustable to size, and will fit belts up to 1.75"

Regardless of the belt hardware you choose, The Cyclopes comes with adjustable retention, which is controlled by the two screws to the left of the trigger guard. Adjusting the screws will give the customer a tighter or looser fit on their gun.

This holster is made from one piece of Kydex, strategically molded around the gun and weapon-mounted light/laser attachment, and fastened together with quality hardware. All of the hardware comes with a lifetime guarantee, and if at any time it breaks or is lost, we will replace it at no cost to the customer.

The holster can be customized in your choice of 34 different colors or patterns. Click here to view color options.

DISCLAIMER: Please note that due to the amount of space necessary to accommodate a weapon-mounted light attachment, the top portion of the holster near the trigger guard will be wider than on a non-light-bearing holster. Depending on the exact dimensions of the particular weapon-mounted light, this open space is approximately 1/8" to 1/4". Please be assured that this is completely standard, and does not affect the functionality of the holster. As is the case whenever using a firearm, caution should be taken at all times to ensure the safety of yourself and those around you.

DISCLAIMER: When ordering a light-bearing holster, customers will see a dropdown menu for handgun model, and a separate dropdown menu for weapon-mounted light/laser. Customers select the models they are using from each respective dropdown menu.

Please note: all of our available handgun options, and weapon-mounted light/laser options, are listed in each dropdown menu. This DOES NOT mean that every option from one dropdown menu is compatible with every option from another dropdown menu. NOT ALL FIREARM AND LIGHT/LASER COMBINATIONS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH ONE ANOTHER. Please be sure to check the manufacturer information provided by the manufacturer of both your firearm and light/laser to ensure compatibility. If the light/laser is not designed for the firearm you select, a holster cannot be made for it. If you're unsure about compatibility, please contact us before placing an order.

  1. It works

Posted by Michael from DC on 1st Nov 2016

Extremely comfortable, adjusts as you sit up down left right, yet remains secure for drawing and walking running etc. Highly recommend. Why did I wait so long to get a proper appendix holster.

  2. Solid holster and very comfortable

Posted by Unknown on 23rd Aug 2016

So first off a disclaimer. I have only had this holster for five days. But in that time it has already been through two nine hour road trips and one eight hour pistol course. And I can say that it is more comfortable than it has any right to be for a something built for a G19 with a SureFire X300U, a KKM Comp, and a RMR.

It lays perfectly for appendix carry, the soft loops gives it solid retention, the adjustable retention screws allow the holster to grip the pistol but still allow a positive draw without the holster wanting to come out with it.

This has already become my new daily carry holster. Buy from Alpha with complete confidence.

  3. Love the csse.

Great holster, good rentention. Just wish the lead time could be a little fast. I have a Smith and Wesson M&P core, with a Trijicon RMR, Apex Trigger, and Streamlight and it fits like a glove. I'm glad I went with Alpha concealment. I love the color too.

  4. Quality is Worth the Wait

Greay quality, fits great and is comfortable. Took a long time to receive, however, the quality is well worth the wait. A+ customer service!

  5. Cyclops IWB holster

Posted by Unknown on 10th May 2016

This holster is made great. It looks and feels good. Took a little bit longer than expected to arrive, but once it did it was worth the wait. I recommend getting a cant done. A lot of printing will occur if you don't. Overall it's a great piece of kydex.

  6. My new "go-to" IWB holster

Posted by Francis Rodriguez on 16th Apr 2016

So far I have ordered two of "The Cyclopes" iwb light bearing holsters from Alpha, and am very pleased with the overall product for the price. Both took a little over a month to receive, which isn't bad considering they are made to order. One note though about the cant options. If you plan to carry iwb with a rmr mounted to the slide (ie: Glock mos, M&P core...) do not go with a 30 degree cant, stick with 15 or 0 degree if possible. Made this mistake on the first holster I ordered, the rmr would hit my belt and push back the slide when holstering the pistol. However the 30 degree does work very well to conceal full size pistols without optics mounted.

  7. Most Affordable Light-Bearing Holster On The Market

Posted by John on 27th Feb 2016

The wait was well worth it. They replied quickly to all my impatient emails. This holster was exactly what I have been looking for in a Light-Bearing holster. I have tried twice to make my own and failed miserably. The quality and fit/finish are on par with big names in the kydex holster industry. Will by from this company in the future again.

  8. G19 w/ Inforce

Looked at all the random kydex company's for weeks before finding one with a design this good and people this helpful. Great product, great company, highly recommended.

  9. Cyclops IWB: Glock 17 w/ Streamlight TRL1 HL

Posted by Harrison on 13th Oct 2015

Recently just purchased and received my cyclops IWB holster from Alpha Concealment. Took it to the range for the first time the other day and was definitely satisfied with the fit and feel around the gun and with the concealment. I was unsure how it would fit with being a small guy and it being a light bearing IWB, but it has surpassed expections! Thank you Anthony for all you prompt email responses and helping with questions along the way.

  10. cyclops iwb holster for fns9 with x300

Posted by Adam Harris on 29th Aug 2015

Very well made holster. Fit and finish is above part from many other holster manufacturers I've tried in the past. One and only complaint is that my light pulls kydex from the holster when drawing the gun/light combo.
